How many of us would make such a sacrifice like Chhavi Rajawat who after completing her MBA degree from Pune and working in renowned companies like Times of India, Carlson Group of Hotels, and Airtel decided that there is no use of her big achievements and degrees if she cannot bring in changes in the grass-root level of her own country. After realizing this she decided to return to her village, Soda, in Rajasthan’s Tonk district and became the first lady Sarpanch of India with an MBA degree. Since then, she has been putting her knowledge to good use for the development of her village.

After realizing this she decided to return to her village, Soda, in Rajasthan’s Tonk district and became the first lady Sarpanch of India with an MBA degree. Since then, she has been putting her knowledge to good use for the development of her village.

She has worked towards better water systems, usage and production solar power, construction of paved roads, toilets and a bank to her village. She is also responsible for the regular supply of drinking water to her village and facilitated the construction of more than 40 roads in the same village. In one of her interviews with NDTV she said, “If India continues to make progress at the same pace as it has for the past 65 years since independence, it just won’t be good enough. We’ll be failing people who dream about having water, electricity, toilets, schools, and jobs. I am convinced we can do it differently and do it faster.”

Her spirit and determination is something to be appreciated and get motivated from as if she can then why can’t we do and provide the same for our country if we want it to get developed at a faster pace.
